Monster Cable Look Like Idiots

What a great letter Kurt Denke, president of Blue Jeans Cable, has written in response to a cease and desist from Monster Cable.

I don’t know anything about the merits, but Denke seems to, and some lawyer for Monster surely feels like an ass right now as the PR department, and perhaps even people from parts of the business actually producing product and revenue, are asking what the hell is going on.

I, for one, have purchased my last Monster product (I have indeed bought Monster stuff in the past), and will now buy from Blue Jeans Cable.  I recommend the same to you.

Another great place to buy cables, recommended by nerds everywhere: http://www.monoprice.com/

The prices are great, shipping is cheap, and the cables are excellent quality. I've probably saved literally hundreds of dollars buying from monoprice instead of getting overpriced Monster cables, or any cable for that matter from Best Buy, RadioShack, etc.
  • Kurt Denke response has actually raised a very significant point with regards to the current absurdity on so-called intellectual property rights today. That is if you design a product to comply with a defined industry standard, other companies should not be able to shut you down for so-called infringement.

Maybe Monster will file a cease and desist on coat hangers next: http://consumerist.com/362926/do-coat-hangers-s...
