In reply to mwbrady. Yeah, Chromecast is a little finicky. I would point more fingers at the Chromecast except that Netflix on Chromecast would work great in my informal tests. But it's hard to say if my issue was simply local problems with Sling and WatchESPN or the Chromecast. And I think the network problems vary depending on the day. One night, as I mentioned, Monday Night Football streamed great but the stream would fail every time the feed cut to commercials.

I’ve had very good results watching sports on Sling with my Roku 3 and XBox One. My Chromecast was terrible. It’s now back in a box starting a dust collection.
