Tax Day is Upon Us

And this video – featuring a brief glimpse of yours truly – discusses some of the costs of administering our tax system. (SPOILER ALERT! They’re high.)

Great video. As the video points out, our tax code is becoming increasingly complex and broken because of the shenanigans of our elected officials catering to various special interest groups.

Maybe a year ago, CNBC interviewed two senators, (one republican and the other a democrat) who with smiling faces proclaimed with great fanfare how they in the spirit of non-partisan cooperation would fix the injustice of the Alternative Minimum Tax. Guess what, it still a has not been fixed, not to mention that this has been a known issue for many many years. Seems that some of our elected officials really have no interest in working on behalf of the American people.
