Indeed, too bad for Mozilla. They neglect to mention the $50m+ that Mozilla receives from Google for the search box: http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/08/28/mozilla-ex...

This is a commercial transaction -- and more power to them! But this poor-little-non-profit stuff needs to go.

How about we pick a date and Microsoft stops lobbying for "pro-trust" policies such as software patents and anticircumvention

Yeah. One down, thousands of more companies to go on that front. Big victory!

How about we pick a date and Microsoft stops lobbying for "pro-trust" policies such as software patents and anticircumvention, and the rest of the industry stops lobbying for antitrust at the same time.

If you're going to get state power out of software competition, get it all the way out.

Amen, brother Thierer!

I've already dumped Firefox in favor of the sheer speed, the alacrity, the rapidity, the celerity that is Chrome. I keep Firefox in reserve for (i) those few pages that don't load properly in Chrome and (ii) a few handy plugins I still like to keep around (like Downthemall).
