Yet Another Reason to Oppose REAL ID

heather-garciaYou’d have to get your picture taken at the DMV.

“It’s stressful and degrading and my nose and chin look shiny,” says a one-time TLF blogger (not pictured here).

The woman pictured here was arrested for driving without a license. Perhaps because she didn’t want to get her picture taken at the DMV.

Say No to the national ID law – and to those trips to the DMV!

There's not a compelling reason for states to license drivers in the first place. What purpose does it really serve?

If you one wants to regulate who drives and how they drive you should let the insurance industry license drivers. Think about it. Insurance companies know better than legislatures what makes a safe driver.
  • If you want to save the hassle of going to the dmv you should just look for better alternatives like 3rd party online dmv companies. But please, insurance companies gouge enough already ... no way I'd support letting them control my license.
