An old gripe of mine, one that I really ought to blog again in light of recent developments. (Again, I strongly support repealing the DMCA anti-circumvention clause, but I don't think doing so would cause content owners to give up on DRM overnight. The FCC should be DRM-neutral, period.)

You could always just rent new-release movies on cable to watch at home on your HDTV.

Oh, wait, that's not possible due to FCC rules that prohibit movie studios from digitally securing their content as they see fit.
