&lt;p&gt;I found out today that I can get a 16 Mb/s download + 2 Mb/s upload service from Comcast that they&#039;ve rolled out to compete with AT&amp;T U-verse.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;So despite the fact that AT&amp;T U-verse doesn&#039;t serve my block, I benefit from the competition between Comcast and AT&amp;T in my general neck of the woods. I&#039;d like to see a survey that captures this phenomenon.&lt;/p&gt;
