It should be apparent to anyone who is paying attention that much of our current leadership is both highly innumerate and ignorant of much of science, too.

However no we have not two, but at least three cultures, and the third (the political class) knows all kinds of stuff about manipulation using mass media to subvert democracy, but has very little knowledge of science, geography, or world cultures, besides America’s.
