This is not really true for the more sophisticated DRM variants like OMA V2.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Also many of the problems you decribe like &quot;security through obscurity&quot; does not apply to a DRM solution like OMA V2 implemented in a protected device such as a mobile phone. I agree it does apply to WM-DRM that spreads it private keys in the filesystem.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;OMA V2 is an open standard this is used by many mobile phone manufacturers. So open DRM solutions sure has a future.&lt;/p&gt;
